“Native people know that everything in Creation has spirit. The plants, the trees, the water, the wind, the rocks and the mountains have spirit. The sky world, including the moon and the other planets, have spirit. All of these are part of our First Family, the natural world. The Moon is called Grandmother Moon and great respect is paid to her.” (source: https://mushkiki.com)
Following the moon cycle is a good reminder to go within at least every two weeks to release and let go what doesn’t serve us anymore and to create and set intentions with integrity and authenticity.
New Moon
The New Moon stands for new beginnings and fresh energy being brought into our life. Starting out every cycle, with a clean slate, like a zero starting point. It’s the perfect time to set intentions in the darkness of the New Moon, like a seed, that is put into the soil.
“I embrace new beginnings.”
“I am accountable for what I want.”
“I am ready to start a new chapter filled with limitless possibilities.”
“I am ready to grow into a higher version of myself.”
“I trust that everything is always working out for my highest good.”
Full Moon
The Full Moon is the time of acknowledging and celebrating the abundance in our life, and the intentions that we have planted into the dark soil of the New Moon. A time of gratitude and appreciation. To remain focused on our goals and open to the transformative power of the Full Moon.
And at the same time remember the importance of energy hygiene. To look at our life with radical self-reflection and brutal honesty in order to clean out and release anything that is not serving us anymore.
“I express gratitude for having a healthy body and mind.”
“I let abundance, love, and gratitude flow through me.”
“I am the powerful creator of my life and I take full responsibility.”
“I continue making progress emotionally, mentally and spiritually to become the best version of myself.”
“I choose to let go of what is not serving me anymore.”
The Moon Cycle
The Full Moon prepares and clears the energies for the New Moon. The soil is enriched with gratitude for the abundance we have and cleared from all that is not beneficial. The New Moon nurtures our intentions and new beginnings, so we can reap the abundance under the Full Moon.
“I inhale self-love and exhale self-doubt.”
Moon Ceremony
Our Moon Ceremonies at The Culinary Alchemists focus on the New and Full Moon cycle. Our focus is on honoring and respecting ourselves and the spirits that are everywhere around us. We choose to refrain from all kinds of animal products and to use the plants that we are given by Pachamama in the most respectful way. Acknowledging and honoring the spirit of the plants, seeds and fungi by preparing and creating with love and intention.
So give yourself the gift of participating in a Gastronomic Ceremony with The Culinary Alchemists. A 3-4 hour, 12-15 composition plant-based ceremony where you slow down, put aside the troubles of daily life, sit with like-minded individuals and spend an evening of mindfulness, intention, and innovative gourmet creations that not only please your palate, but nourish your mind, body and soul.
